Holding hands

I love this video and idea. It is SO something I would love to do. How people react is certainly entertaining and telling, not only about them, but our culture in America. My favorites are the two people who just roll with it. "Okay. Hey. Holding hands...whatever! " :)

  1. When I was in college, we went to an airport to greet people who didn't seem to have anyone waiting for them when they came off the plane. We'd go up to them and act all excited to see them, even hugging them. Totally acting like we knew them. "Oh I missed you." or "I'm so glad you are home safe." Great reactions. Only one bad one... a woman who thought the girl who hugged her husband was the one he was having an affair with.

  2. That cracks me up, Max, but also sounds very sweet of you all. Arriving in a strange city alone is always a let down and bittersweet, having anyone there at all is better than no one.

  3. Try this one Daemon, I love doing this...

Drive up to a toll booth, tell the person you want to also pay for the car behind you. Ask him/her to pass on this message to them, "Thanks for letting me follow you this far, I know my way from here now." Make sure to keep an eye on your rear view mirror. If they catch up to me I just wave with a big smile on my face.

  4. That is awesome! What in the world happens?

I had a guy in front of me at the coffee shop, several people ahead of me, in fact, pay for my coffee and say 'hello' to me through the barista one morning. Talk about enjoyable, interesting and curious, indeed.

I rarely ever am at a toll booth so cannot try this gambit but will remember this one next time I am back East traveling.
